What does a service look like?

What should I expect when I arrive?

On arrival visitors to Holyrood Church can be assured of a warm welcome particularly from the welcome team, who will be able to answer any questions you have. If you need help finding a seat or have any particular requirements someone will be more than happy to help.

What happens during the service?

After a brief welcome from our minister we pray, sing and read a passage from the bible which is then expanded upon in the sermon.

How long does a service last?

Our services usually last just over an hour with the sermon being around 30minutes.

Will I have to join in?

You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code, come as you are!

Are children welcome?

Yes—kids are always welcome and we run a Sunday Club in the lower hall during the sermon, a crèche for the younger ones. Someone will show you were to go!
