Get Involved

If you’re interested in getting involved with Holyrood Church, we run a variety of services and events throughout the week. Find out more below.

Sunday Services

Sunday worship is central to the fellowship at Holyrood and we meet together on Sunday mornings and evenings to praise God and listen to His word. We also meet throughout the week to pray, study the bible and have fellowship together.

Prayer Meeting

We meet together as a church for prayer meetings the first and third Wednesdays each month at 7pm in the Church.

Meetings last for an hour beginning with a time of prayer together before splitting into smaller groups. Sometimes we have someone come along to talk on particular topics / organisations. These meetings are relaxed and no one will expect you to pray out loud if you would rather not.

Home Groups

On alternate weeks to the Prayer Meeting we meet together for fellowship and Bible study and prayer in homegroups across the city.

Our homegroups are a great opportunity to get to know one another more deeply in an informal setting and are open to all. If you’d like to get involved please contact us.

Events

We organise a range of events throughout the year both for members and for the community. Previous events have ranged from a Hog Roast in the park to a CS Lewis evening!

A highlight of our calendar is our Christmas Carols in the Park by candlelight with the Salvation Army Band. We have also run children’s holiday clubs, community week’s and Christian conferences. Keep an eye on our social media for what’s coming up soon.

Serving

As a member or regular attendee of Holyrood you are bound to find a way to use your gifts to serve in the church. From serving tea and coffee after the service to playing in the music group, from helping with Sunday Club to operating the AV desk you’re sure to find a way to get involved. If you see someone serving in a way you’d like to get involved in too don’t be afraid to ask how you can help out!

Giving

If you wish to give financially to the work of HEC you can do so via the collection plate as you enter of leave the building or directly through your bank.

You can transfer your gifts electronically via BACS payment to the church account:
